2. GLOSSARY

  • Hydrogen produced by electrolysis of water using 100% renewable electricity (hydropower, wind power, solar power, etc.).

  • A derivative product derived from renewable hydrogen combined with nitrogen, produced by the Courant project.

  • A device that splits water into hydrogen and oxygen using an electric current. The process performed by this equipment is called electrolysis.

  • Renewable fuels produced from non-biological energy, such as ammonia or methanol.

  • The engineering stage prior to the final investment decision, to define the technical concept and budget.

  • A gas required for ammonia production, obtained via an air separation unit.

  • System that recycles on-site water use, minimizing external withdrawals.

  • The continuous power supply from dams ensures the stability of the electrolysis process.

  • Concept of shared use of utilities (heat, steam, water, hydrogen) with other players in the industrial park.
